REVIEW

We had a really fab Saturday/Sunday at the first Lost Vagueness Festival in Lewes near Brighton. Twenty Four Hours with such a wide range of activities there was something for everyone - Especially for the exhibitionist! If you enjoy FUN in the company of friendly people then you *must* come next year!

Most of the features (though not all) you'd expect from Lost Vagueness at Glastonbury! All forms of clothes were encouraged - the more outrageous the better! I was under dressed - but won't be making the same mistake next year rest assured!

Massive range of music and acts of all sorts including a magician (Fred's Flying Circus) and Ida Barr (check out the video).
Everything from the 20's to dub and all things in between in four venues/stages including the Ballroom and the Casino.

For those new to Lost Vagueness there was costume and ballgown hire for the ladies and mens' suits in various 'themes' (gangsters, army officers, John Travolta ala Saturday Night Fever etc) too.

Of course old hands came in their own clothes including a Marilyn Munroe look-alike, Teds, 1930's housewives, can-can and burlesque girls, a Nazi SS officer, and some men looking fab in Oscar Wilde Smoking jackets resplendent with loooong cigarette holders. It was a gas! Worth the £33 a ticket Price!

Best Act Award - Easily goes to Paka - the Metal Horsed Hero!

The only downside was no beer was on sale. There were lots of fabby cocktails etc - but no actual 'beer'! So bring your own next year!
One couple (Hi Roly and other half - sorry I forgot your name) 'found' Lost Vagueness at Glastonbury this year (their first visit) and missed the rest of the fest as they couldn't pull themselves away! So they were at the Summer Spectacular for MORE! Lost Vagueness does get to you like that!
Here's looking forward to 2005!
