How disappointing this event turned out to be! With a great line up it promised to be one of the best festivals of the year, but with no programme we missed many of the bands that we would have liked to have seen.
We found it outrageous that there was a policy of confiscating water from people at a time when this country has experienced the hottest weather ever recorded. I know that the food vendors were selling water, but at £1 for a 250ml bottle it would cost around £10 - 15 each just to drink the minimum daily requirement for the conditions! And was it really necessary to employ such over-zealous, security for a musical event to be attended mostly by peace loving ex hippies? I’ve been to many festivals and never witnessed such heavy handed security.

From what we have heard the security were not consistent in their actions. We found them no problem and I enjoyed childish banter with a couple late on sat night. I have heard that next year they will be using a tried and tested motorbike security firm who were the stage security this year and did seem more relaxed with festi clientel. The rest of the festival was brilliant and the vibe excellent. Each area had its own unique flava and appealled to many differing music tastes. The holistic area my wife and friend found peaceful and inspiring.
There were a few grumples about the facilities in the camping field. i.e. water, no showers, limited toilets, however knowing the limited time the organisers had available and the extensive amount of effort put in by the organisers they were excellant. My wife found a beautiful shower from a water pipe set among oak trees, basic but majic.
It was the right size for a party and everyone we met were having a brilliant time and we made many future friends there. A definete for next year and a big thank you to the hard working organisers. It is so easy to go to a festi and moan about this and that, but the effort put in to this one created a happy good vibe. The feedback on the forum from the eastern haze crew to these minor problems is a credit to them and will be addressed.
Music - absolutely brilliant no complaints from us or any one.
A day trip to the beach might be a good addition. Lol. Andi.
